Professional Pics

Today we got Preston's 6 month pictures taken at Portrait Innovations in West Des Moines and we are very pleased with the results. We were a little nervous at first because Preston was not very smiley during his Easter shots. The studio is all open so he was a little distracted by other people, but he did a great job with his Pooh Bear and friends. He even smiled for the crowd that gathered around while his Tigger pictures were being taken. Preston was rolling around (as you can see from the bottom pics) so he could see everyone. Some family members were eager to see the pics, so we decided to post them tonight. We ordered most of these shots, but some are just proofs that I thought were cute. There were so many good ones to choose from, which was not the case for his 6 week and 3 month pictures! Tomorrow, Preston, Mommy, and Daddy start water baby swim lessons so that should be fun! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Busy Weekend!

So, last weekend was pretty busy for the Eichmeier's. On Friday, Grandma Diane came to stay with us because she flew to DC for work on Saturday. Preston got to show off all his new tricks for Grandma. On Saturday, Mommy had to take Grandma to the airport at 5am, but Preston didn't want to miss any action so he decided to get up at 4am too! Yippee! When Mommy returned from the airport, we left for Ventura. Grandma Sue and Grandpa Larry watched Preston while Mommy and Daddy went to a funeral in Rockford. Steph's mom (Steph is Mommy's good friend) died so please keep Steph and her family in your thoughts and prayers. That afternoon, we went to Camp Tanglefoot to celebrate the birthdays of cousins Keegan, Haley, and Grant. It was a nice day to play outside and there was so much yummy food! Unfortunately, we forgot the camera so we didn't get any pics of the fun :( We hung out with Grandpa and Grandma Eichmeier for awhile on Sunday and then came back to Altoona. We were oh so exhausted (we did get to sleep in on Sunday though thanks to Grandma Sue)! Almost forgot- while we were at Grandpa and Grandma Eichmeier's house, Preston figured out how to roll the other way! Grandpa Kyle visited us on Monday too and Preston showed him what a good roller he is now. Now we need to work on rolling from back to front!
We finally got Preston's high chair out. Here is Preston in his new racing life jacket bib (as we like to call it) and teething ring from the Clark's. Our giant baby :) And you can see his 4 teefers!

Teefers!

Preston now has 4 teeth, two bottom, two top, and we think some canines on the top are also coming in. I was a little bummed at first because I thought he was too young to start getting teeth and I didn't want to deal with a cranky teething baby yet, but he has handled it well. We just put baby Orajel on them when we think they are bothering him (which he does not like) and give him a teething ring. He loves to chew on everything now!
Close up of his bottom teeth Can see a little white in his mouth

Video for Aunt Molly:

Aunt Molly must have known he was going to be an early teether because she got him some Orajel for his March present. We even got a shot of his bottom teeth in the video.

This video is of Preston trying his 1st fruit, which was awhile ago, but I forgot to post it then. He has now tried all the 1st fruits. His favorite fruits are peaches, pears, and applesauce, despite this video. It depends on the day for bananas and prunes (but he gets them when he needs to poop)!

Lovin' the Warm Weather

We LOVE the warm weather we have been getting lately. This weekend Mommy, Daddy, and Preston went to West Des Moines to visit our friends Jared and Lisa Ringus. We got to meet their new puppy, Jersey, and went on a walk at Raccoon River Park. We also grilled out at their place because it was so nice. Mommy and Daddy also took Preston on a walk this afternoon. I hear it is supposed to be this warm tomorrow too! Hopefully this nice weather stays around!
Preston can now sit in his stroller like a big boy! Preston even sat ouside in this neat contraption from Grandma Sue while Mommy and Daddy cleaned part of the garage.
Grandpa Kyle visited on Sunday too. He got Preston this life jacket to wear at the lake this summer!
Our very first walk this spring
Preston loves the outdoors and just looks around at everything on our walks.
Rappin' on the couch in his new spandex jeans!
These jeans are the only ones I can find that fit around his tree trunk legs!

What up homies?
Rappin' tires me out!
Standing while holding onto the couch (it only lasted for a couple seconds)
Peek -a -boo!

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

We are happy to announce that Preston has rolled over- without assistance from Mommy or Daddy! We were doing tummy time this morning and he finally figured out how to avoid the dreaded tummy time! Daddy got sick last night and decided to spend the day at home today, so we both got to witness the milestone. Preston got so good at rolling over to his left that Mommy had to start the camcorder over many times because he would be rolled over before she could catch it! Good job Preston!
